Hummingbirds are birds native to the Americas and comprise the biological family Trochilidae. With about 366 species and 113 genera.
They occur from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, but most species are found in Central and South America.
About 28 hummingbird species are listed as endangered or critically endangered, with numerous species declining in population.

I work mainly in oil with a passion for creating still life paintings that have a deeper meaning.
Added to my collection are pastel paintings featuring endangered and critically endangered wildlife.
Under the Rainbow Events have been a huge support by enabling me to showcase my art.
I have been selected for the Leisure Painter Exhibition at Patching’s Art Centre in 2024,2023,2022,2021,2020 and 2018 with a highly commended entry in 2019.
Also having entered artworks to the Sketch for Survival Competition run by the Explorers Against Extinction conservation charity I have been selected for the longlist in 2024, previously chosen as a finalist in 2022 and highly commended in 2021.
I am based in Kent and create unique pieces of art, undertaking commissions which include pet portraits.
My work is also included in private collections.
